Help for the Mid-Week Hurdle Give-Away

My son just wandered out of his room, sleep heavy on his drooping head, not really ready to get up. It’s Wednesday. I love my summer; no schedule, living up life. But watching him drag himself to the couch like it might be his final steps before he completely collapses reminded me that there are others out there (most?) who don’t have my sleepy summer life. So, how about a little help over the Wednesday bump? Here’s my proposal….I’ll give away one kindle copy of a book to a random visitor. Just leave me a note in the comments of this post and we’ll pick a winner on Thursday. Be sure…

    7-7-7 Challenge

I was tagged by my writing buddy Sarah Monzon. Seven lines from page seven, and then tag seven more authors. Okay…here goes. You’re a better man than this. Ugh. That voice. Again. Forever intruding upon his life. What more did Mother want from him? He’d graduated from Stanford Law. He was a successful lawyer. Why couldn’t she just be proud of him, rather than digging up his personal flaws and flinging pointy shards of metal at them? His chest seemed to cave, and a sharp ache pressed against his stomach. Launch Day

Today is the day! Blue Columbine is live on Amazon. ~”Delicate. Humorous. And plumbing the depths of God’s redeeming love.” ~”This book does not disappoint. Instead it takes you through the emotional upheaval of loving someone with a problem you can’t solve–and lets you witness the glory of the One who can.” Best friends—maybe more—until addiction shatters everything. Reeling from professional failure, Andrew Harris needs a fresh start. When he moves back to Colorado to join a Denver law firm, he runs into Jamie, his childhood sweetheart. She is still the kind and faithful girl he remembers—not to mention beautiful and still single. With her by his side, Andrew is…

    So, what’s it about?

The slow trickle of news has a predictable outcome… “Oh, you wrote a book? What’s it about?” So glad you asked… 😉 If you wander over to the WIP page, you’ll find back cover blurbs for all the books I’ve been working on. Here, however, I thought it would be fun to post a snippet from a deleted scene in Blue Columbine. Just for flavor. Jamie pushed through a murky tunnel of swirling emotions, a walk known by those who smack hard against a cold wall disillusionment. Exit. She forced her feet onward. Just get away. Nothing else mattered. “Goodbye? What does that mean?” Andy’s scathing voice echoed in her mind, prickling a chill…

    Finally…

I’m pleased to share that Blue Columbine, a Christian Novel, will be releasing on Amazon later this spring! It’s been a journey, and the road keeps twisting and turning, but it’s been a joy, an education, and an opportunity to meet some amazing new people. I’m thrilled, to say the least! To celebrate, I’m sharing the cover for my very first fiction release.
